Collaborative Divorce is a legal divorce process that focuses on a team approach to divorce where you agree to stay out of court and resolve your issues together. The team will include a collaboratively trained attorney for each person, a neutral facilitator, and a neutral financial professional.

Free 20 minute Discovery Call with Tina

We will discuss your unique dynamics and you will decide whether Collaborative Divorce is the best fit for your situation.

Build your Collaborative Team

You will pick your attorneys, financial neutral and sign a Collaborative Participation Agreement, committing to stay out of court.

03

Schedule Full Team Meetings

We will schedule Full Team Meetings for the Financial Discussions.

If there are minor children, you will begin weekly meetings with me, as your Kids-First™ Certified Mediator, to work through the Parenting Plan.

04

Attorneys draft agreements and court documents

Attorneys will draft what you agree to in our full team meetings.

05

Final Judgment

You will be able to stay out of court and keep everything private.

  • One-Team™ Divorce Mediation:

    • No attorneys on retainer, Attorneys do not join the meetings, You always have the option to consult with attorneys between sessions

    • Financial professionals are used for specific topics on an as needed bases

    • You meet with the me weekly to resolve all issues and draft agreements

  • Traditional Kids-First™ Mediation​

    • No attorneys on retainer, Attorneys do not join the meetings, You always have the option to consult with attorneys between sessions

    • Financial professionals are used for specific topics on an as needed bases

    • You meet with the me weekly for one hour to work on parenting plan AND all financial issues; I draft those agreements

  • Collaborative Divorce with me as the neutral facilitator

    • Attorneys on retainer, Attorneys join all financial meetings​

    • Financial Professionals join all financial meetings

    • I run the meetings as the mediator

    • If there are minor children, you will meet with me weekly for one hour to work on the parenting plan

    • Lawyers will draft the paperwork

The Big Apple

Generally, we meet with clients on Zoom because it is the most convenient option to schedule meetings when all of the professionals are available available. We can also schedule meetings in person, but there is no evidence that doing sessions in person would lead to a better outcome.
